My younger one tampered with my laptop over night.
after which whenever i want to initiate Windows media player it tells me "WiNdows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly"
i tryed troubleshooting, but the device driver isnt coming up.
i also tryed the system information to verify the device and i found out under the component sub-category that the sound
and CD-ROM components were missing.
It also gives an error message "audio device on high definition bus"
The laptop maker is HASEE model F420S.
PLEASE KINDLY SEND IN YOUR URGENTLY NEEDED SOLUTIONS. THANKS |

Did you try system restore?
Sorry if that seems too obvious, but it's the method of first resort. |

Most likely you need to install drivers for your sound card. To confirm this, please check your device Manager (right-click My Computer -> Manage -> Device Manager) for unknown/improperly installed devices.
Please visit you computer manufacturer’s/soundcard manufacturers website, and download drivers along with the installation instructions. |

Welcome to Techimo Nadaicon.
You would have probably received a better response by starting your own thread so people did not have to read through all the other posts.
Probably the easiest way would be to explore the "restore" cd/dvd that came with your computer. If your computer came with a protected restore partition and you formatted over it you are going to have some real fun hunting drivers down and could easily spend the better part of a day or more depending on your experience.
From a command prompt you can type "msinfo32.exe" and let the hunt begin.
There are a slew of driver update tools available on the market but I have yet to use one that was intuitive as it needs to be and actually hosed an install of XP using UniBlue's: Uniblue Driver Scanner > Innovative Driver Update Tool Download
UniBlue generally codes a quality product and the problem very well could have been my hacked registry.
If none of this is making sense to you? You are way over your head and need to head to your nearest legitimate computer repair shop. Happy Hunting! |
