Right speaker emits no sound.

I have a left and right speaker for my computer, you know, the usual thing. Anyways, my right speaker has the volume settings, but no sound ever comes out of it. My left speaker works just fine. I checked the wires, and everything is normal.
Any reason for this? Or are right speakers supposed to act like this?

Try the speakers in another computer first to rule them out.

Sorry it took forever to respond. I've been, uh, busy...

Well I hooked my speakers up to the other computer in my house, but this time the opposite speaker wasn't working, but the one that wasn't working on my computer works. It's the opposite!

Weird.

The common denominator seems to be the speakers IMHO. Can you try a known working set in your PC? My guess the speakers may be bad.

It may be the plug itself. Try twisting it in the socket.
My headphones had the same issue.

Twisting the plug didn't work.
I had an old set of speakers (ones that were at least 10 years old) that did the same thing on this computer.
It must be the computer..

Sound card or onboard sound? Try reinstalling drivers to see in any improvement.

I would think it would be hardware than software, but try it anyways.
