Problem With Audio, Volume bar

Hi,
I have a problem with my Volume bar that is missing, tried to turn it on in "Sounds and Audio devices", when i check the box it shows nothing in tray. Tried to reinstall Audio Card (Conexant High Definition Audio), didn't work'd.
Tried several times that, then i tried to uninstall and install via internet from homepage ( i have HP Pavilion dv6000) didn't helped too. Also dont work Quick Launch Buttons ;( ( volume +/- , mute and refresh). Can't find whats wrong, when i installed Win XP SP2 everything was working perfectly, dont wana to install again, have no place to store data.
Maybe someone knows whats the problem or @ least can suggest something?
Sry for grammatical part, i am not english speaking

P.S. ksyn

This usually happens when you're sound card is not installed, or not installed properly. Did you install the correct drivers? If you did, try to get some updated drivers for your soundcard on the net.
