The ZeeVee ZvBox - Is it worth the price??

This isnt intended as an advertisement for the ZeeVee ZvBox(its listed on Amazon as an "exclusive"), I want to know if you guys think it would be a worthwhile purchase.

There are several problems I see - the First being cost. Its $500 !!

With ZvBox You Can:

* Watch any video available online or on your computer
* Avoid new subscription fees
* Access ANY computer application from your HDTVs:
o Photos, music, and home movies
o Email and web browsing
o Computer’s DVD player
* Enjoy the same great resolution you get at your computer
* Use existing cable wiring to reach all HDTVs in the house
o Just one ZvBox for all HDTVs
o No receiving device needed near your TV
o No wireless interference or performance problems
* Start watching Zv in one room and finish in another
* Tune in Zv like any other TV channel
What do you guys think of its (claimed) abilities? Can you think of any issues using this box??

It is essentially turns your PC into a remote HTPC. The claims are reasonable. However, the price is not IMO, unless you are trying to distribute content to multiple televisions. Lacking the ability to be a PVR also lessens the value even further.

If you have a primary television viewing area, you could build a nice HTPC/PVR for well under $500.
