Help ID this 10 IR LED Weatherproof Security Cam

Friends,

You next mission, should you chose to accept it, is to help identify what appears to be a weatherproof 10 IR LED security camera, with RCA connectors (it is not wireless but has about 120' of line attached to it) and from the markings, it appears to be color capable.

PROBLEM:

It needs a power supply to function and there are absolutely no written markings save for the small circular hologram sticker underneath the base with a QC on top, a horizontal line and then the inscription O3.

I need to identify the make and model so I can establish what the voltage requirements are to make this wee beastie work.

DESCRIPTION

There are three color dots below the lens (red / green and blue) leading me to believe that means that it is a color capable camera.

It is not bullet or bell-shaped like many low-end security CCTV cameras, but flat faced and faintly reminiscent of the martian probe used in the 1953 film WAR OF THE WORLDS.

Around the lens are 10 IR LEDs and from the observer's perspective, lookng into the face of the camera, a small red, what appears to be a status light, perhaps even an IR remote receiver.

Thanks in advance!

No replies?

Oh well.

Finding nothing on the web even remotely resembling this CCTV cam, I oped for a SWAG (Scientific, Wild-A$$ Guess).

Starting with a 3 VDC adapter and hooking the CCTV cam up to a monitor via the RCA jacks, I got an ON status light, no video signal on the screen and most importantly, no acrid smell of burning electronics.

At 4.5 VDC, I got a wavy black and white image.

At 6 VDC, I got a clear color image in low visible light and the 10 IR illuminators were well-lit.

I located another B&W CCTV weatherproof cam, similar in size and performance class to this one and that one has a power source of 7.5 VDC. Thus, I could probably increase voltage to the mystery camera to at least 7.5 VDC without harming any circuitry.

Hopefully, this post will help someone else similarly situated.

Best,

-- KJ
