Broken MP3 RMA'd. What to do?

Hey guys,

So I sent in my Archos 605 160GB to be repaired. The screen cracked on me, and of course it is not included in the warranty. The cost to repair is $162.50.

My choices are:
1->Have it sent back un-repaired
2->Pay for the repairs.
3-> Get a 15% discount on new/refurbished unit.

Now no matter what I choose, I'm going to be selling it on ebay. I thought it'd be a useful machine to me, but the battery doesn't last long enough, the volume isnt loud enough, and it's just got lots of bugs for me...so I thought it's better for it to be in a better home.

What's the best thing for me to do to not have to pay a lot but still get something decent from it?

I personally would probably still get it fixed, and then sell it off. You'll get the most for it that way at least.
I doubt it'll sell for even half the price you got it for with a cracked screen.
