| Sony vs Bose PC speakers
I currently own the Sony SRS-ZX1 active speakers. Now my questions is does the Bose MusicMonitor sound the same as the Sony's I have since both are the same price. Both are $400 and are compact computer speakers. |

Ive heard both. But awhile ago. Cant really remember what they sounded like but I liked the BOSE better. Though I would just recommend a nice set of Klipsch speakers instead. IMO they sound better than both. Though at that price segment anything sounds good

What was better about Bose than Sony? Since both have that waveguides inside to make alot of bass? Plus both have Neodymium magents which is the best type of magents for all speakers. Plus both have DSP to EQ the sound according to what the volume is set to. |

The highs and mids were a little more crisp IMO. And they sounded really good with jazz or orchestra kinda sounds. As for more rockish music then Its a fairer fight between both
In any case, if you are spending this kind of money then I really suggest you suggest you go hear them yourself. However I would really reccommend you search a tab bit harder and find some better brands with better value for money. Personally I have a set of AE speakers and I absolutely love the way they sound with more mellow tones. For more rockish music its Klipish for me

So does this mean that my Sony speakers are not good as the Bose even both at same price? I thought Sony was a good brand and they make great stuff. Or are they about the same speakers. Meaning both sound almost the same.

What I mean is there is only little minor difference on the sound on the two but both sound about the same. I just want to know that is my speakers very close sounding to the Bose MusicMonitor. Since you guys said the Bose was tad better so does that mean that both overall sound about the same? |

Well I wouldnt say they sound the same. What I meant is that the sound quality would be about at the same level. Personally, I prefer the Bose. Thats all. I thought you were looking for a new set of speakers. |
