Hauppauge!!! Arghhh!!
Anyone got one of these that works flawlessly? I've spent the last couple of days trying to sort it out. You get one bit working and it sets something else off!!
At the moment I have an Asus EN6200LE parked in the PCI-e bay and should I ever get the TV working properly, I may look to replace the video card- partly because it's only got a TV out jack and I understand SD video gives a better picture. I'm also having a dickens of a problem persuading the card to recognise my tv. It will only detect it in clone mode. As soon as I try to do single mode, I lose the tv and the VDU. Serves me right for updating the drivers( it had worked on the TV quite happily before that)
Anyway, back to the point. For simply watching tv and dvds (bog standard- Ill worry about HD when I have an HD tv), is my current card sufficient? Has it known issues that might affect it working well with HTV1300? If I replaced it, what would be my best options? We're talking cheap and cheerful here, and probably simple. And if any one has got a HVR1300 working happily on their computer, can you let me know what specs you have as it might help me in replacing bits.
By the way, has anyone come up with just a TV out card that works with the onboard graphics, rather than buying a brand new graphics card just to watch TV er- on your TV
Bah Humbug already
