Ok I'm ready to give up.
I just installed Cyberlink Powerdirector 7 Deluxe to replace Ulead Videostudio 10. I picked it because all the writers say it is great.
My Problem??
I'm using the automatic batch capture - which seems to work fine - up to a point. It quickscans and gives me the scenes with correct scene lengths.
When it does the actual capture - some short scenes are missing and for example a 7 second scene ends up as 2 seconds - the first 5 seconds are missing.
I'm capturing from a sony DCR TRV15E via firewire onto a Dell quad core 6600 with 4gb mem and 320 gb hard drive - using mpeg2 setting. The same thing happens with AVI capture setting. I've set the DV parameters for capture buffer from 0-15 seconds and still same problem.
I've searched everywhere and can't find anyone having the same problem. What aren't I doing right. I never had a problem in Ulead VS10.
Where am I going wrong - as doing a batch capture of the same scenes is ok. BTW I don't do a auto merge before the final capture as I don't want the scenes all rolled into a single scene.
