Please help with my logitech headset

Hey,
I downloaded this program called X-fire for battlefield2. I bought a headset to talk to my friends on Battlefield 2 and X-fire, but for some strange reason i can hear all of them talking into my headset speakers but when i try to talk they cant hear me. I have it so that its voice activated and i even tried push to talk and i pushed the button to try to talk into the mic and its not working, no one can hear me but i can hear them perfectly. Can anyone help or give me any suggestions?

I am getting NO input whatsoever from my mic. I do recording tests and nothing plays back. And i know its on cause i can hear output from it too.

Do you plug the headset into the front or back of your case?
If it's the front, then make sure the mic socket is hooked up properly to the motherboard.

I can do either, but mostly is the back because i have my mouse and keyboard in the front two. Im not sure how to check that haha. But ill give it a go.

I would say that if you can't get it to work in either the front or back sockets then the headset is faulty.
Can you try it on another PC?
Have you tried it on windows built in sound recorder?
