    Unique problem with speakers

My laptop dropped and landed on its side, forcing my green headphone jack to be pushed inwards by the headphone jack that was plugged in at the time. Now no sound will come from my computer HOWEVER if I plug in the headphones that pushed in the headphone jack, sound will come out of the speakers (not the headphones). No other headphones will do this, and there's no way for me to get sound from my computer other than plugging in those specific headphones.

I don't really care about my speakers, but I'd really like to be able to hear sound through my headphones.

Thanks for reading and I appreciate any thoughtful answers.

You didn't mention the Model or how old the unit is... So a repair job may/may not be cost effective...

This may be an option:How To Add Surround Sound to Your Notebook - LAPTOP Magazine

The unit allows headphone use, and is $117 USD
