    speakers not working :'(

     
    yesterday i bought a computer of my friend and its running windows 7 ultimate and i pluged everything in and yurned it on and its works fine... except for the spreakers >_<

    they are pretty basic speakers, theirs a volume nob a 3D surr button and the power button on one and nothing on the other becides the lettering

    Audio Excel
    MULTI-MEDIA
    SPEAKER SYSTEM

    plzzz helpppp :'(



    ps. if i plug my ear phones in they dont work either

    Is it plugged into the proper connection on the motherboard/sound card...?

    have you checked to make sure the Sound is not Muted in the Master Volume...?

    Does the system have the proper Audio Drivers installed...?

    are these Speakers plugged into the wall for power...?

    what have you tried, to fix the problem so far, would be nice to know that before listing a bunch of random suggestions to fix the problem.
