PS3 to monitor, than SPDIF to surround sound

Hi I have an ASUS VH222H-P Newegg.com - ASUS VH222H-P Black 21.5" 5ms HDMI Widescreen Full HD 1080P LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 20000 :1 Built in Speakers - LCD Monitors

I have it hooked up to my PS3 via HDMI, and I don't like the sound my monitor puts out through its speakers.

Well, my monitor has a line- in port, an Earphone- out port, and a SPDIF out.

I need someone to tell me. How do I route the sound to some speakers here? I need atleast 2 speakers and a subwoofer hooked up to this monitor so I can play my PS3 games with some better sound.

(So far I have learned that the SPDIF out jack on my monitor is for surround sound systems, and I came here for help because ,now, I just learned my monitor has a line-in jack and I have no idea how that can help me, but I would love to do surround sound under $100 if possible)

Do you have speakers that will accept SPDIF input?

No sadly I do not, I am in the process of looking for some but I cannot locate anything like that.

You can get speakers that use optical input and use the optical audio output on the back of the PS3. Go to system settings and change the audio output to the optical connection.
