a wierd DVD

I got this really wired dvd region coded and every thing even css
cannot play on any player except vlc
couldn't back up to the pc either
the dvd is a dual layer dvd but when i open the video TS folder and check, there are content adding up to 48GB
how can i back up such a dvd to my pc
PS: i am not making any illeagal copies of the dvd or any thing like that
i just want to keep a back up in my pc to prevent any damage to my DVD

Is this an actual disk, if so what is it supposed to be? If you are getting a total file size of 48GB then its def. not a dual layer dvd as they top at out at 8.5gb. Dual layer blu-ray tops 50gbs however you'd need a blu-ray player to even access the disk. I'm assuming you don't have one of those?

well i think its a type of encording
i used any dvd slysoft and it says its encorded using a css code
so i think i need a later version of a dvd copy software to do this

So then obviously you don't have the physical disk itself then? What is the software or movie or whatever supposed to be?

no i have the dvd disk
its a gold disk a DVD video
its a movie
