sterio mic issues
i have a hp laptop and it has a built in sterio mic but the left mic is really screwed up and dosen't "hear" anything and just crackles the right one is pirfect and sounds fine. in windows i can move the mic slider all the way to the right to get ride of that channel but some apps (team fortress 2 or any other steam games and more) ignore this entirely and use both so audio is not usable im wondering if i should just cut the cable or is there some way to fix this. im thinking something like a virtual mic only on the right channel (if that exists)

If you use this setup for gaming and chat etc. then you might be better off with a headset like these: Amazon.com: headset with microphone for computer: Electronics

It's probably highly rated because of the level of violence. The story is decent.
