SPDIF on Laptop & Surround Speakers
I have a Toshiba Satellite A305-S6841 laptop. The spec sheet and Realtek control panel list an SPDIF port. Supposedly it's integrated into the headphone jack.
How do I connect this port to a set of surround speakers? Do I need an adapter?
Also, do you know of any good 5.1 surround systems that have SPDIF input instead of the usual 3x 1/8" mini-jack?TOSHIBA Satellite A305

See if this helps. You need a 3.5mm to Toslink adaptor.
Pretty much any high end surround speakers should work, such as the Klipsch Promedia.Last edited by osprey4; December 11th, 2009 at 11:32 AM.

that was easy, if only deleting the partition was that simple.
