    Digital Copies + Windows 7

So... can it be done? :-p

I have a bunch of Blu Rays that came with Digital Copies and I want to transfer them to my PC. The thing is that when the Autorun connects in order for me to input the code to activate the movie, it gives me a message saying that I need Windows XP or Vista!

    WTF?!?!
It seems Windows 7 is not supported!
I haven't found anything saying that it is possible to do so I'm asking here just in case someone already went through this and cares to share! ;-)

    Thanks.

    Uhhhh... Exactly that?!
Some DVD or Blu Rays come with an extra disc that contains a copy of the movie but a copy that's playable on an iPod or an MP3 Player...

Really? When did those start getting added?

I suppose the studio could have an autorun program on the disc that isn't compatible with 7 yet.

Does it give you a specific error code? Is this with Media Player 12?

Well, it's the latest Media Player in Win 7.
But I think the problem is the OS... it seems the codes work for Mac, Windows XP and Windows Vista but not Windows 7. The autorun doesn't matter if you force it to execute with WinXP or whatever... it connects to the internet using your browser (preferably by them, Internet Explorer) and it automatically redirects me to a page saying that I don't meet the requirements... this sucks.

Well since Vista is supported it shouldn't have any issues running in W7 it just seems they probably haven't updated the req's yet. The quick easy solution would be to use XP mode or if you could use firefox to navigate to the sites you could change the user agent settings to show a different OS.

I didn't know that was possible in Firefox... I might try that and see how it goes.

    Thanks.

You can do it manually from the about config tab or you can use the user agent switcher add-on

    Here's the link https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59

a link for some user agent strings
UserAgentString.com - List of Firefox User Agent Strings

I'd suggest creating a new profile just for testing that way you don't kill your main FF profile if things don't work out.
