    I've been defeated!!!

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and am in need of some serious help here.

I've just purchased a E525 notebook and have downgraded from windows 7 starter to XP SP3. I didn't get a support cd so i dowloaded all the drivers from the manufacturers website. Chipset, VGA, Lan and Webcam have been intalled but for some reason the realtek audio driver doesn't work or pickup my hardware. the installation completes without a glitch but after restart there is still no sound or audio devices loaded in device manager. the exe. in the root directory doesn't respond (non of them). I'm stummped as the sound worked perfectly under windows 7 starter (Although for a day).

Any suggestions, I've tried afew online tips but they haven't helped!!!

Oh and there is a PCI device and network card i cant seem to update with any of the available drivers.

The pci card is prolly your audio. Prolly just have to try different versions of the audio driver until you find one that works.

    Question Okay still no luck

    Okay guys.

I've drawn a blank... again. I've sent an email off to acer because this is driving me nuts. I've downloaded and installed all makes of driver from different sites and the WLAN hardware still not registering with any of the drivers i've tried.

    Any ideas?
