I used xilisoft to burn a dvd and I tried playing it on blu ray and it just didnt want to play so i tried a normal dvd player and it worked but there wasnt any audio. I also tried burning a different movie but using nero10 burning rom same thing happened? both movie formats are mpeg. i mainly want to get it working on the blu ray though itd would be good on either....any ideas on how to fix this?

So you're starting from an MPEG and encoding to DVD?

When you say "working on the blu-ray", you mean you're trying to play this disc in your computer, right? Obviously, DVDs are different than blu-ray.

yes burning an mpeg movie on to a blank dvd

both disks work on my computer audio and everything, i have an actual blu ray player which plays normal dvds also so i cant think of why it doesnt work

Nero has a program called Nero Vision for encoding MPEG video to DVD video. Try using that then burning the resulting files to DVD. That should work on any tabletop player.

DVD Flick freeware. Simple and works just fine.

Or if it is an iso use imgburn.
