HDMI PC to TV sound issue

Ok. So I've recently started connecting my Toshiba Satellite laptop to my Sony Bravia TV via HDMI. Originally I'd be able to connect fine with sound and everything. However, while trying to fix an issue where the edges of the screen would always be cut off on the TV I have managed to lose sound on the TV and can't seem to get it back. I did update the onboard video drivers (Intel) but I can't see why that would have changed it. Any suggestions?

    Hi CTCF,

    Welcome to TechIMO.

How about updating your audio drivers?

Did you use Microsoft's Update for the Video Driver? Try rolling back to the previous one and see if that changes anything. Also try System Restore if the rollback doesn't do it.
