Question Splitting VGA into VGA + Component cable?

I'm having trouble getting my head around this so it's quite possible this won't make any sense.

I'm trying to capture output from my Xbox, I have an EZCap DC60+ which does this.
It takes the component cable, does a little magic and has a USB output on the other end. It works just fine and you can capture it directly on my computer.

My issue is that I can't play whilst recording on my computer (Horrific lag and no audio when recording). Recordings play back fine, it just creates hell when its recording.
My aim is to play it through one monitor whilst splitting the cable and sending another cable into my EZcap. The issue I have is that I have two PC montitors that only take VGA. So I have to use one of these to play through my monitor.
High Definition VGA Cable (Xbox 360): Amazon.co.uk: PC & Video Games

Which means I can't plug my EZCap anywhere in between. Is there anything I can do about this? short of buying a TV which takes component cable?

    Current
Xbox -->Xbox to VGA cable -->FlatScreen monitor

    Desired
Xbox -->Xbox to VGA cable -->Flatscreen Monitor

Component or Composite? Component looks like this and uses five cables, three video and two audio. Composite looks like this and has a single video plus two audio.
The reason I ask is the EZCap device seems to be a composite device based on the google links I'm finding.

Sounds like you just need a composite splitter like this.

My mistake, I meant composite. Didn't realise there was a difference.

I don't think a splitter would work as its a VGA cable with L&R audio composite leads (as per the link). The audio is fine as I can plug it directly into the EZCap and my headphones fit between, however my issue is getting the VGA cable into the EZCap. Does that make sense?

OK. So currently you are going out from the XBox using the VGA cable direct to the flatscreen but need to tie in the EZCap device. Gotcha.

Sounds like you need to split the vga signal down to composite so the EZCap can capture while still having VGA pass through. I'm thinking you need a VGA splitter and then a VGA to composite adapter.

After splitting and adapting there can be some signal degradation. You can always get adapter boxes with electronic pass thru controls which limit degradation, but they can be rather expensive.

That makes sense. I'm not expecting ridiculously good quality anyway.
Just to check this is what I should be needing to get it working correctly?
I added in a gender changer as I noticed both connections seemed to be male.

Ooops. I forgot to check that, glad you noticed.

Yep, that's my best guess as to what should get you going.
