burning cd
I've burned an mp3 album onto a cd-R and it plays fine on a standard cd player. However it only lists the songs as track 1, track 2 ect... How can I view the actual name of the song ???

sounds like the CD was burned with out the use of ID3 tags for the MP3 tracks.
What Burning software did you use to burn the CD? Was this burned as an MP3 CD (most
"Standard" CD Players these days support MP3 CD's and not just regular CD Audio), or was it converted back into WAV or CD Audio onto the CD? If the latter, then your only going to end up with the Track numbers and no info as far as I know.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

I think the CD if it was standard WAV audio or CD Audio you would need to make sure it was burned with tags for WAV files.
Been probably 5 years or so since I've made an Audio CD from MP3 files, so a bit out of the loop myself on the info, but I know it has something to do with missing tag info for the file format used on the CD.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

cd burning...........
Hmmm...... O.K The files or songs are in mp3 format and I've burned them on a CD-R using Nero. As I mentioned they will play on a standard cd player, but are displayed as track 1,,,, track2..... I'll check out the mp3 tag.

and this was of no real help, because WMA is not the Standard Audio file format played by standard CD Players, closest is WAV. WMA is Windows own proprietary competitor to MP3 standard.
and NO Audio files will not be converted to WMA when burned to CD's, their burned as WAV or CD Audio, unless specified to be burned as WMA, which is only readable on CD players that will read the WMA file format, just like the MP3 File format.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green
