Batch audio editing application
I'm looking for an app that will remove the first 5 seconds off a couple of hundred mp3's. Can anyone recomend a good one?
Cheers.Windows 7 Professional 64, I7-920 @ 3.8, ASUS P6T Deluxe V2, 6Gb Corsair Dominator @ 1448, 2 x Gainward GTS 460 1Gb, System: 90Gb Corsair Force 3
Games: 2 x 150Gb Velociraptors in RAID 0

I know audacity allows batch processing but that is meant more for conversion or applying filters. I'm not certain it would do editing nor I'm I aware of anything out there that would allow that type of batch editing.
Its free- you could try it and see

I looked all over the settings and like I said it allows you to add filters and create a few custom batch scripts but I don't see the option of actually batch editing the file. You can tweak things like change pitch, add bass boost, export to file, level adjust ect but I can't see a way to add anything that would allow editing.
Sorry if that isn't much help, maybe someone else will have another suggestion.

I believe Goldwave will do that, but it's not a free app...

I am using Goldwave and I am happy with it. One of the best things I did was to reduce the bass with it.
