Weird streaming buffer issues.
Alot of the time when I watch videos, the buffer line will be much higher then the actual play line, but the video would still frequintly pause to buffer even though it obviously doesnt need to. Any way to fix this?

If you right click on the player, and look at the settings, are there options for a buffer size, or the amount of local storage it can use?

30mb+ Fiberoptic cable internet. Charter ISP.
. I've messed with the buffer settings and everything. Didn't seem to affect the video at all.

Are you using the latest flash version?

could be other stuff in the background running, interfering with the video player.
How much RAM are your running? What CPU?
are you running any other background apps beyond the OS, Antivirus, and any other typical necessary software?i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

Nothing else was running in the background. I'm highly familiar with computers. This is the first I really had to outsource my questions.
8Gig Corsair DDR3 RAM
Sapphire HD5870
1090T AMD BE
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Windows Security Essentials
Only other thing running was Windows Live.
Yes got the latest flash version. Latest updates. My stuffs always up-to date :3

could be a bad modem, should be easy enough to replace and if you do make sure you swap out the power supply.

Blah so weird. lol Interesting facts. I've been through 3 modems, all brand new. 2 different ISPs. service chances ect. 2 Routers. Even reinstalled operating systems twice. Both Win7Ult 64bit though. using chrome actually. ill see if the problem persists with firefox or IE. dont like those browsers but it would just be for video watching.
*PC's motherboard died about a month ago. had to buy new hardware, reason for the noted changes*
well its obviously a hardware issue. i havent had any problems with anything else though. blah guess its not a huge deal. ill stick with videos from putlucker and netflix i guess lolLast edited by Kingsan; October 12th, 2012 at 10:34 AM.

Youtube is fine. Netflix works. Doesnt have the random buffer issues. Putlocker and Sockshare dont have the issue either. Just random videos, like the one in the op post.
Nice feature bigbonehead. ty. usually use freemake for downloading or i dig into the code via Chrome F12 and download the flv manually.
It's ok guys. I'll just deal. Can close the thread. Thank you for all your insight and help anyway
