DVD burning successfully but only blank DVD after burning

Hi,

I've burned many DVD's before, but from few days I've been experiencing these problems. I don kno what the problem is. When I burn DVD's using Nero, i din't have any problems. I'm trying to write DVD's of 4.37 GB space using Nero burning Rom 12 but when I complete the writing it says burning successful but when I enter the DVD again the disk is blank. I tried many times but same blank DVD at the end. I used to write many DVD using Nero Express essential 8 after few months this problem started. I tried re-installing windows but again the same blank DVD. I'm not sure, whether the problem is with my DVD drive or the windows error or software issues.

I also tried other software's like Imgburn, only in 1 DVD i din't have any problem but after 2-3 DVD's I experience the same problems.

I've noticed that since I changed to Windows 7, I have had issues with DVD "+" R/W disc's... The DVD - R/W work fine... I didn't notice what type media you are using... Just a guess.

Doesn't Vista and Win 7 burn DVDs right out of the box? I know XP can burn CDs and I thought I read somewhere that win 7 can burn DVDs. I still use XP. I have XP 64 on the desktop and my laptop uses XP pro which I can't upgrade to Win 7 due to Dell's propitiatory drivers.
