Question
Which File-Sharing?

http://electronics.cnet.com/electron...html?tag=sptlt

Cnet.com did this file sharing "smackdown" thing.... Which of these programs have you tried? I've only tried Kazaa (lite) and LimeWire and their search results don't seem so high on this test...

What do you recommend?

I've been using kazaa lite for a bit and don't have any problems with it. Just make sure you keep an eye out for those @$@%^ .mp3.vbs files out there
(regardless of file sharing app!!!)

I've used Morpheus, Kazaa, Limewire, Bearshare and WinMX.

I liked Morpheus, but presently I use winmx.

I find what I need on winmx (for music), but for anything else *ahem* I'd go with kazaa lite or Morpheus...

For people who don't use KaZaA... and for People who do use KaZaA...(lite, really dosn't matter) I've got one h311 of a prog for you, it finds more sources for you're downloads thus making you're downloads go faster... it really does work I use it for movies... I downloaded LotR in 5hours(it was 1.7gb )) I have mid-stream 100kb/s cable... and it can get you're download speeds VERY high, this is very recemned for anyone who uses KaZaA for the sux0r Morpheus... without further-a-do...(This is a small 3ed party, as in it runs outside of KaZaA, it dosn't have spy-ware, ads, nothing, it's a good ol` prog...) FastTrack Accelerator Injoy...

I use morpheous as little as possible, kazaa sometimes, scan everything before I open it from either place. winmx is good sometimes, that's what I'm using right now, too bad audio galaxy got burned tried bearshare, and didn't like it. I think I've used everything once at least. winmx, and kazaalite for me

I always use Gnucleus for most searches. Only when I do not receive a hit do I then look towards WinMX. As for the rest of the pact, they seem too bloated and sluggish (ad and spyware ridden as well) for my tastes.

brainchild, you are dead on correct about AG. I miss Galaxy, as it was my primary source for underground and unsigned music on the net. I wish the RIAA would learn that not all MP3 users are pirates.

Is Gnucleus easy to use?

I'd like to try some other things....
