I have a friend who has a DVD-ROM player and InterVideo WinDVD. Unfortunately and sadly, he can't even play a single DVD onto his computer because even though I launch the InterVideo WinDVD DVD Decoder, the DVD won't play. I've checked it through My Computer, and I realized that the DVD is being recognized as an Audio CD! I checked the Windows XP Computer Manager and realized that the DVD-ROM was functioning properly, but I had a bad feeling that something is fishy because the DVD-ROM was supposed to play that "Never Say Never Again" DVD and register it as a DVD. I asked him to come to my house someday in order to test out the Never Say Never Again DVD so that it works fine before I even declared anything. I'm not sure if it's a Hardware or Software Issue, but I'm just bothered that this HP Pentium 4 he has is giving him a lot of problems. Also, this HP my friend has is still under warranty--I can't even tamper with it as it would void all warranties within his computer, so there should be a way to see if the DVD-ROM and the Never Say Never Again DVD is working fine or not.
