Philips Seismic edge problem

Hello, im having a problem with the seismic edge pci card that i just recently bought. I installed it and everything went well... but the drivers on the cd don't support winxp. So i went on a few sites.. and downloaded a few custom drivers which supported xp but none of them seem to work. I keep geting several errors when trying to install the drivers, such as "the opperating system label does not match" and saying that it failed.

does anyone have some working xp drivers which may work for me, or know what could possibly be wrong with mine?

thanks

Been there...

I assume you have checked the Philips web site for downloadable drivers...

http://www.pcsound.philips.com/english.html

Note that there are 2 versions of the Seismic Edge card. The site provides drivers for XP for one version but apparently NOT the other. I ran into the same problem with a Rhythmic Edge card I was using. I finally elected to use Win2K on that system, but that's a luxury we don't always have.

The chipset manufacturers frequently offer reference drivers, so if you can determine the manufacturer and chip numbers, you could try the manufacturer. My Harmonic edge uses, IIRC, ESS Maestro chips. Another possible location to ask questions is 3dSoundSurge forums.
