All of a sudden I was listening the the radio on the net and my sound stopped working. I have nothing muted and everything is plugged in correctly. I have switched it between my headphones, my stereo, and my speakers.
So does anyone know what the prob is???
Also, I have built in sound on an AC97 codec.
Thx. |

1. Reboot
2. Check BIOS to make sure the onboard sound didn't get disabled somehow.
3. Try deleting the sound card from device manager, then re-detect & reinstall the drivers.
4. If you can't get it to work, consider getting a separate sound card - even a cheap one will outperform that onboard codec by a mile. |

Well, I'll be dammed(would spell it the real way but the mods might not like it). After I reinstalled the drivers for it, it worked. Thx.
I wonder why it just stopped working. |

Oh, and if I couldn't get the thing to work. I would call up HP and cuss them out about how crappy their computers are.
This thing is still under warranty. |
