looking for headphones
Well, with my new MD player ready to go, I need some on-the-go headphones. I brought my KSC-50 headphones to school the other day and both of them suffered a dent. They're just a little to fragile for me. I'm like some decent headphones that I can bang around, preferably a durable clip-on (eg Labtec Curve 465's) However, earbud headphones would be even better, with that little wrap up case thingie. Please keep it cheap. Thanks for any help.

Sorry to double post, but no one seems to have responded. I found two phones that seem to be good options.
Senn MX500 (why does everyone have to use MX in their names?)
Koss "the plug"
I'm obviously leaning towards the Senns because:
--Sennheiser is the uber-headphone brand
--it comes with a case (those things are great)

MD, no experience with either model, but, you're right, Sennheiser is an excellent brand, but Koss is nothing to sneeze at either. The big advantage Koss have had over the years is, in addition to decent sound, they're pretty tough all across the board. I still have a pair of studio monitr cans I picked up in the early 70's. They still sound great and you can throw all four pounds of them on the floor with impunity
Wonder if AKG makes anything like that? There's only two things in life. But I forget what they are.

I don't pretend to be a pro, but I'd go with Sennheiser, because I know the brand is a quality piece of kit...
Personally I've got Labtec at home, but mainly because they were on offer.
Also, I haven't gone thru the thread yet, but there's another query about headphones on this other thread

OK, thanks a lot. I'm leaning towards the Senns too, but I'd rather get the Koss if they sound better or fit better. I think the senn's case is really nice though. It's what I'm looking for.
edit: darn it all. I can't find these anywhere. I checked the BB, CC, and crapUSA sites. NO ONE carries these things. Where can I get my paws on them?

Do a Google on J & R Music World. Big electronics and computer dealer in New York. They carry gobs of headphones, from the $5 jobs on up to $500 and more. There's only two things in life. But I forget what they are.

They don't have them there. I guess I might have to order them off amazon. Actually a site had them or 15 bucks (found them on froogle).
edit: The best deal I could find was through Amazon. They had the MX400 version (same thing, except there's no volume control on the phones, which is useless anyway) for 11 bucks through a private dealer or whatever.
