Video Cameras....

OK, I hope this is in the right forum!!

I am looking to get a new video camera, and ideally a digital one (I have a DVinput on my PC).

I know nothing however... what are some things to look out for, and any suggestions on models??

Hi tmx468

You mean a digital camcorder? We've got two of them, they use MiniDV tapes, which are very small (probably 1.5inch by 2.2inch in size)

Most of em nowdays (maybe even all of em) have DV output, which you plug into your computer and record super high quality video with! lol (or whatever quality you set it to)

And you said you have a DV plug on your computer? is this a firewire port? or a small 4 pin DV port? (same as the one you find on the Video camera) Just wondering!

Anyway, I cant really reccomend any brands, but the two we have are JVC and Sony, which I think are both good

Forgot to mention we have a third one, that uses a different type of tape, called MicroDV, these are about 1/3 the size of a MiniDV tape, and are REALLY small! lol, the camera itself is smaller than an average photo camera, which is damn small lol, only downside to this one is that it is really expensive!
