Well if my $30 (possibly $20) pair of Sony's worked for me, and breifly testing these with some rap filled with bass, treble, and midrange had me sold in an instant, then I presume they should satisfy me. My audio system is, uh, different, than normal. I have a Monsoon MH-505 5.1 set for gaming and lower-volume music, and then I plug in my Aiwa stereo system that really doesn't look like it can produce but it offers great audio and even surround-sound if I'd like. I don't know how many watts that thing has, but even without a sub it sounds amazing with room-shaking bass from what may be like 6" or so drivers.
In fact, that system is right up their and possible has more bass than my dual and currently unused Sony mid-tower speakers. Those Sony's may produce bigger, more room-filling sound, but are more suited to a music system that requires natural sound, not emphasizing treble or bass but just crystal-clear audio.
