    In the middle....
What sort of network are you on?
    Is there a server?
Do you log in to the network?
Does your login work on a different computer?

sounds like you just need to remap the drive.

Like DrDave said we need more info on the network.

I have a similar problem of which I have now moved into the realm of "baffling"

I am using a workgroup "MYHOME"
    No server
2 computers are connected to a Linksys router and I have a wireless laptop
At one time all of the computers could see each other in the workgroup and all of the shares worked.
One of the computers died and I needed to reinstall XP Pro. This was the computer that had all the printers and extra drives connected to it.
Now, none of the computers can see any of the other computers in the workgroup.

I have reset the router, reset the WEP security.

I have stopped and restarted the workstation and browsing services on all 3 machines.

    Any thoughts? ideas?

I had one person suggest turning the router into a DNS. Is that even possible? How and is that a good idea?
