i've never used the norton product but look in the firewall settings there should be (hopefully! )an option to define a trusted zone or IP's - add your other networked pcs there. also look to see if there is an option to lower the security on the trusted zone which is independent of the internet zone (you don't want to lower the security on the internet zone!)

God Norton is a pain when trying to transfer via LAN in everything. Files, gaming, etc. Its almost impossible while its abled. What I just did was to disable it and that way it worked. But if you want a better firwall, then gor for Zone Alarm, you wont regret it. And ZA is much better when working in LAN. Trust me on this one, I have been a Norton user for years, and now its over.

Yes there is a free version of ZA and it works great. Now if you are a power user and want more of your firewall then you would have to spend some bucks in ZA Pro, but I think its worth it. I did it and I cant be more happy with it. Here you can see where they compare the products they offer. But of course the free version is great if you just want a simple free firewall. HTH's
