| Home Network? thought I could handle this...
But I guess I was wrong and i really hope someone here can give me an answer...
Here it goes I built a home network with a d link 604 router.
2 Xp Pro Machines & 1 win 2000 pro. All Have 512 ram or more,
and from the p4 I can access all shared folder that I need( The ones on the win 2000 are irrelevant.)on the AMD but no such luck vice versa? from the amd i can access printer that is connected to P4 and I can see that the P4 is connected to the network but it tells me i dont have right to access. again the other way from p4 to AMD no problem! I have played with the router settings, win services admin services , user accounts I have basically left my system wide open for connections from anyone and still i cant log on to my p4 from the amd. WHAT AM I MISSING?
If anyone has a clue im ready to try anything.
Thanks for the help in advance |

make sure that your windows firewall is off! I have had the same problem.... all it was was the windows firewall was turned on. Try that.. if in your network connections it shows a lock in the connection picture that means that the windows firewall is on. GL
BTW I know u already said firewalls were off but I had this exact same thing happen and that was the culprit.
