When you did the firmware upgrade did you do it from your wireless connection or from a hardwired connection?

No, you don't need a wireless card in your desktop (assuming you are using a standard nic to connect it).

Did you try unplugging your router for maybe a minute or so then plugging it back in?

Sounds to me like the firmware flash may have gotten mucked. I would try to contact their support directly. Sorry that is about all I can suggest. Perhaps someone will come along who knows more than me.

Generally on these types of devices there is a way to reset the device to a ROM based program for reinstalling the firmware, just for cases such as this. Read your manual, and check the web site for the device and see how to access this feature. I had this problem with a firewall appliance and had to use a paper clip to push a button inside the device and that got it into a program for reinstalling the firmware.

Good Luck

It is not the usual reset switch. Call them if you have to, but there should be a way to get into "safe mode" (for want of a better term). Until you are able to reinstall the firmware, it sounds like you are stuck.
