my server quit working

hey guys. i run my own http server using apache and i also run my own ftp server using cerberus. im on a college campus and am not behind and firewalls or anything. well, last week was spring break and i took my computer home for the week. at home i am behind a router and i had to mess with the router software to allow my servers to work from home. but now i get back to school, and my servers wont work. actually, they work for me, but not for anybody else. like if i go to http://my.ip.address.here from my computer it works fine, same with ftp. but if i do that from any other computer it gives me a 404 error. im thinking windows did something when i was behind the router causing it not to work but im not very experienced with windows and networking and such. does anybody have any idea how to fix this?

Check with the campus network administrator and find out if they have started to filter ports. It sounds like that is what is happening. Also check the ip settings on the web server to make sure that they are correct. Did you note the changes you made when you took the machine home? If the campus network has not changed (spring break would be a good time to make that kind of change) then make sure you have changed all the settings back to what they were. You might have missed something.

i fixed it, somehow the firewall in xp had gotten turned on so i just disabled that and it worked fine
