Having problems connecting-HELP!

I just got a new Maxtor SATA Hard Drive and subsequently reinstalled windows xp pro. That is the only thing I changed and now my PC won't connect to the internet.

Here are my specs.
Abit Nf7-s V2
XP2500+@2.2
ATI 9600 XT
2x IDE HDDs
1x Maxtor 80gb SATA
Netgear wireless 4 port router
cable 2 mbit connection w/ webstar modem

It worked before I installed the SATA hd without problem but now it won't work for anything. At first the only network device showing was a 1394 Net Adapter. I got the Nvidia MCP networking controller to show but it gives a (code 10) "This device cannot start"

I have no idea whats going on so any help is welcome.
Thanks in advance.

What's listed in your local area connection properties?

When I try to view network connections, the only one that is in there is "1394 Connection 6"
