Dial up ICS troubles
I think its something real simple I'm doin wrong.
I have a pc and a laptop networked via crossover cable. Both running XP home. the network works. The pc connetcts to the internet via dial up. Internet sharing works, I can surf on the laptop when the pc is connected. But, how can I dial and hang up from the laptop, the client? Is it not possible or am I missing something?
I'm much to lazy to walk a flight of stairs and push a button. you feel for me, don't ya?

its called 'on demand dial up" I think, or "on demand dialing"
Dont ask me how to set it up though, lol.
But there should be a setting on one of the machines for it

Yes by using on demand dialing you can have it dial (see JP's link), but hot hang up. But you can setup a delay after which if there have been no communication the modem hangs up.
