VNC on Win98 Peer to Peer
I've just sucessfully hooked two Win98 computers together in a Netbuii peer to peer network. I've downloaded and installed VNC viewer on one and VNC server on the other. Once I get the server running, and then activate the excutable Viewer, the program goes to a dailup connection (as if I wanted to connect via the internet). I've named the server the same as on the network. I'd like to be able to control both PCs with one keyboard, mouse, and monitor. What am I doing incorrectly.
Thanks,
newtonetwork

As far as I know VNC won't run over a netbeui only network. You need to use TCP/IP.

Thanks
You're right, just got back from the VNC website, computers must have TCP/IP addresses.

You know Rootstonian, I was doing some thinking today while riding my motorcycle. If you really want to protect yourself, get something like virtual box (free) and Ubuntu desktop and install chrome...
