Forwarding a port

hellp.. I have been trying for hours but i can't get the forwarding to work. I have DI-624 and the private ip on the server is 192.168.0.100. Since i am a n00b i need a step by step guide...

Advanced, Select Edit on the service you need (like Virtual Server HTTP). Select Enabled, change Private IP from 0.0.0.0 to 192.168.0.100 Then hit apply.

If it still doesn't work, it could be a problem with permissions on the HTTP server.

hmm i've just tried that but it still dosen't work. however if i do http://localhost or http://127.0.0.1 i can access it.

go to control pannel click on Administrative Tools then click on Internet Information Services then Start your http

then type localhost to your browser

i can access it as http://192.168.0.100 and i am currently running Fedora Core 2 and i have apache server setup and it has beed started by typing on the console "apachectrl start" but i still can't access it from the external ip

are you trying to open it up to the internet?? if you are make sure your router and computers firewalls aren't stopping it..im also a noob w/ that..same problem. just don't shut off your firewalls..someone here w/ some experience might talk you through allowing a port on your firewalls.
