I have two linksys routers and a netgear router currently. I was hoping to have my wireless linksys one and one of my wired ones on. (1 linksys is wireless and the netgear and the other linsys router is only ethernet) The problem with the wireless one is that it doesn't want to foward ports Any suggestions on how to do this?
edit: misspelled something |

why not dump the wired router and just have the wireless going? it should have a 4 port switch built on to it
or are you using the second router to extend your network? |

how do you know it wont forward ports? a lil more information is required to diagnose the problem.
How is your network setup? Where do you want to forward the ports to? etc.. more info please |

What is the point? One router, one bottle neck. If you must have the wired router then have it first in contact to your modem and set that router into bridging mode. |

try just turning off nat on the wireless router. There's no need to run two dhcp servers. |

ok i exchanged my router for the same one and this one works. i still need to have my other one running because of the number of computers i have. i have several laptops that run off the wireless internet and several desktop pcs running on lan. i don't want cable for the laptops cuz i'm frequently moving them but i don't move the desktop pcs so i want those on lan. how is it possible to get both to work together? |

You can do what I do....I have an 802.11g and an 802.11b router that I use on the same network, too. I have the 802.11g with NAT on that my modem plugs into and from there I have the cable coming out to the other wireless router on the other side of the house. I have the cable from the first router just going into a LAN port on the second router...do not plug the cable from the first router into the WAN port because that will make it like a router. Then you can just disable DHCP and connect like you normally would to the router. It will just get the IP from the first router instead. |
