unable to join game?

Hi guys,

I have two problems. I am trying to play Starcraft with my friends. I connected the four computers using a ethernet hub. 3 have winXP and one has win2k, which refuses to join the game( IPX), even when it appears in the screen. All pcs with xp work fine. I get the error message "Unable to join game". i have no idea for the cause. Another problem is that i tried playing through UPD. this time none of the computers show the game on the screen. I installed the ipx protocols but the problem persists. any ideas on how to solve this? thanks.

I disabled the firewalls. Somethign really weird happened. After switching around the cables it suddenly worked. Can't tell what the problem was.

Unable to join Game

Goto Network connections and properties of the lan
card that your using to N/W. Goto IPX/SPX properties
and assign locator numbers. eg 000001 on computer
one, 000002 on the second.............. This resolves
the issue.

For UDP over a Wireless network (I have a Linksys WRT54GC router), go to:
(1) Log into the router through the browser using the IP address provided in the manual.
(2) Applications and Gaming tab
(3) Port Range Triggering subtab
(4) Add a line at the bottom of the list Starcraft
(5) On this line, add in the triggered range and forward range as 6111 to 6119 and click on the enable check box.
(6) Save the settings.
Restart Starcraft (you don't need to reboot PC's or the router) and choose the UDP networking option for multiplayer games. It works like a charm.
