    IP tracer

     
    i downloaded a IP tracer... it would be WhereIsIP v2.20

    it has a function that trace the IP in your ICQ online list...

    Some IP can be traced but some shown 0.0.0.0 ..
    but those user is online definitely

    why is that ??? are they behind a firewall or what else ???

    any ideas ?

    it maybe they're not using ICQ so the app they're using doesn't report it back like the ICQ app does.

    trillian ?? what is trillian ?

    no .. i'm sure that they are online at the moment ...

    becoz some of them is my friends ...

    one of them using Win XP Pro ... not behind any firewall ...

    but WhereIsIP shown 0.0.0.0 ... couldn't trace it ??

    no trillian is a program that can simulate msn, aol, icq and a few others so what they are saying is that. yes they are online using an ICQ account BUT they are not using the ICQ messanger

    Or maybe they are using Miranda, or Easy Messenger, or any of the other all in one messengers?

    But if they are using a current version of ICQ and they have specifically enabled the option to hide their ip within ICQ then you're not gonna see their IP no way no how. Not unless you establish a direct connection with them.

    i just asked he ...
    he said he didn't intended to hide his IP or using anything ... but Pc-cillin 2004 only

    by the way, how can i hide my IP ??
