| How to remove Internet Explorer?
See, i got this Mozilla Firefox and it works great, however whenever i use the "Check your email" function from my MSN messenger it uses Internet Explorer! The same goes with some other programs and games such as Warcraft. So anyone know how to change my default browser to Mozilla to all programs? Firefox is already set as my default browser on my Internet settings

What OS?
2K and XP can remove IE through 'Add/Remove Windows Components' in 'Add/Remove Programs'.
Have you checked IE's Advanced tab and make sure it's not set to check to make sure it's the default?
You might also try going into 'Folder Options' and then 'File Types' and removing the check in the DDE box for all the file types that have the IE logo on them.

Chances are there is no way around it. Sounds like they are calling IE directly instead of the default browser.

I wouldn't uninstall IE just yet. There are some sites that work properly only with IE...

This question came up on another tech forum and the answer was you really cant get rid of IE because it is incorporated as part of the OS. In Firefox, click tools, options, general, and check the box 'Firefox should check to see if it is the default browser when starting'. |

Yeah, its annoying, happens to me too. But how often are you clicking links in Warcraft? Its not that big of a deal, i seem to deal with it just fine. Theres no reason to remove IE because 1. some sites demand it and 2. windows doesn't like having IE removed.
