P2P speed up!

Hi all!

I just want to ask a question to someone who might know something...

I am connected to a LAN at a college and I want to use iMesh but the download speed is at the rate of 0.10 kb/s when all the others pages are downloaded almost instantly.

Does any body know a way to overcome this difficulty (Proxy settings, etc.)?

Thanxs in advance

your university more than likely monitors this kind of activity and takes away its priority over other network activity. i know this is how things are at my school.

No, and its probably illegal for you to try to circumvent it anyways
Read your schools internet policy, i'll almost gaurantee it basically says you are only supposed to use the internet for academic related/ general use activites. Thus p2p is definately out of the question.

Alright, why don't you download IMESH Professional Pay for version. The free is pretty good, but the Pro is AWESOME.

B) The people yuo are downloading from may have a slow connection too!

for imesh it requires other people to have a fast connection to download at full speed aswell. just click on what is downloading and it will tell you if it is your connection or the person you are gettin it from.
