Wireless Internet Card Question
I currently have a Toshiba Satellite 5205-S505 and I am interested in getting a wireless internet card for my laptop. I looked and on the bottom of my laptop I have a small compartment for a wireless card. When I opened it, there were two stripped wires. If I want to get a wireless card is this something I should get a professional to do or can I do it myself? If I was to do it myself is it easy to install and what make of card would you recommend and how much would it cost me. Thanks for all your help.

You should just slide a wireless card into the PC card slot instead of taking anything apart, IMO.
My Build (Jan 2011):
Intel Core i7-950 3.06GHz Quad-Core, 6gb Corsair DDR3 1600, 1TB HDD, 60GB SDD, GeForce GTX 460 1GB

Nonsense. Mini-PCI cards are one click in and your done. You may have to attach the antenna connector on it. Any child could do it. I wouldn't pay to have a internal card installed. Best buy would probably charge you 80 bucks and guess what. It takes all of 5 minutes.

So what kind of internal card do you reccommend, where could I buy one, and how much would it cost me?

My friend was talking about something where the speed is graded by letters. (A) being the slowest, (B) in the middle, and (G) being the best because it picks up all the speeds slower than it and the G-speed as well. What is he talking about and is this card an A, B, or G? Thanks for your help!

one more thing, on the page it says "extra wireless software and drivers are not provided with this purchase" is this a problem? Is it fine to just download the drivers and extra software from this site? What is the "extra wireless software" they talk about? Is this something I can install easily on my own? Will it come with a guide? Thanks

.11a and .11g use a 54 Mb signalling rate. .11b is 11 Mb. Realworld throughput will vary on many variables. about 50-60% under optimal conditions.
I would check the website first and make sure drivers are available.
