    max lan distance

     
    hi! everyone. I have a problem connecting my 2 pcs 100 meter away from each other. I'm using a cat5 utp cable. I tested the conectivity of the line and it is good. I'm using a surecom switch hub to connect the network using straight wire connection.

    I need your help so badly, thank you in advance.

    With good quality cable, you can do 100meters. I believe that is the limit of the spec.

    The easiest and cheapest way to enhance a wired ethernet signal would be to pick up a cheap network switch and place it about half way between the computers with about a 50 meter cable between the switch and each computer.
