Remote Access Help

Win 2000 server DC hooked up to a DSL Router/Wireless Router/Modem - Firewall. Remote access server enable. Terminal Services Components enabled.

LAN Network with 2 Windows XP Clients. Connected to the domain and everything working fine.

2Wire Home Portal Router/Firewall. Server has a setup IP Address from the ISP. Opened all the needed ports even Terminal Services 3389.

When I have my laptop at the site booted up (not member of the network) just using the Wireless internet connection. Can remote into the server. That is when I am using the wireless router. The 2 workstations on the domain can also log onto the server remotely.

Now when I take the laptop or any other computer outside of the LAN and try to remote in.....get the message. "Client could not connect to the remote computer. Remote connections might not be enabled.....

Help....I am missing a piece somewhere and I can't figure it out.

Yes....the ISP gave a set range for IP Address. You go into the Router/Firewall management tools and the IP Address assigned to the server is the one that I use to remote into. Now there is not Static IP address configured on the server itself. The router handed out the IP address and it is set, not a lease.
