blueyonder blocking fileshare sites ?
Hi all, For a while now I've been using Suprnova.org and Torrentbits.org for fileshare, but the last two days I cannot access these sites and my torrent program (ABC 269) just stalls and neither downloads or uploads. I've searched for ages to see if anyone else has the same problem with no luck. Can anyone help ? thanks,
Stephen

suprnova is a pay site now. you need to pay to use the program.
if it is not broken, play with it till it is.

You do not need to pay - if you end up on a paysite you either typed the URL in wrong or you are on one of the many scam sites.
The site even says so in its title bar "SuprNova.org - .com and .net are scammers! - The REAL Universal BitTorrent source"

I suspect I mispelled the URL.

December 19th, 2004, 03:52 PM #12from http://www.suprnova.org/As you have probably noticed, we have often had downtimes. This was because it was so hard to keep this site up!
But now we are sorry to inform you all, that SuprNova is closing down for good in the way that we all know it.
We do not know if SuprNova is going to return, but it is certainly not going to be hosting any more torrent links.
We are very sorry for this, but there was no other way, we have tried everything. My computer is bigger than yours!

Wow, suprnova.org, torrentbits.org and torrentbox.com are all down. I wonder if it has anything to do with the MPAA following suit after the RIAA and suing the crap out of everyone. Interesting...

Thanks for the extensive response, it's much appreciated! I'm definitely going to look at all these options. Do you think the prices of the 660, 660ti or 7870 will drop when the new cards come out?
